Winarius KYC Verification: When It Happens, What You Need, How Long It Takes
Winarius runs an account verification (KYC) check to confirm identity, address, and ownership of the payment method. The platform asks for KYC when you register details that trigger compliance checks, when you request a withdrawal, or when your account activity requires an extra review under EU anti-money laundering rules.
- Identity (ID/Passport): A clear photo or scan of a valid passport or national ID card. The document must show full name, date of birth, document number, expiry date, and a readable photo. Winarius rejects cropped images, heavy glare, blurred shots, and documents that are expired or partly covered.
- Address proof: A document dated within the last 3 months showing your full name and current address . Typical accepted proofs include a utility bill (electricity, gas, water), a bank statement, or an official letter from a local authority. Screenshots without issuer details or documents with missing dates are commonly rejected.
- Payment method: Proof that the deposit method belongs to you, requested mainly before the first withdrawal or after a payment-related flag. For a bank card, Winarius may ask for a photo of the card with only the last 4 digits visible and the name matching the account; cover the CVV. For bank transfer, the platform may ask for an account statement or a confirmation showing IBAN and account holder name. For e-wallets, a profile page screenshot showing your name and account email can be required.
Winarius typically requests KYC before processing the first withdrawal, and it can also request it after changes to key account data (name, address, email) or after unusual deposit patterns. If you use a different payment method than your first deposit method, Winarius can ask for ownership proof for that method as well.
Processing time depends on document quality and queue length. A straightforward check can be completed within 24 hours; cases with unclear images or mismatched details take 2–3 business days because Winarius asks for resubmission.
Current state: Winarius applies KYC mainly at withdrawal and when account or payment details raise a compliance check, with standard
